Picture Time

This was the other hand that I got mahendi on. Pray for the ladies that did this mahendi. They have heard the good news many times over, yet they are still very much tied to their traditions. Pr. that they would have dreams and visions about Him.

Big, BIG tree at a botanical garden I visited with friends. We made many new friends that day and even escaped being attacked by street dogs long enough to have a picnic lunch on a field of grass (yes, a field of grass - that's an amazing thing here!).


Praying that we can start a breast cancer awareness program at this hospital. Pr. that doors would open and He would provide a group of volunteers/nurses to help with this project.

Pic taken at the cricket game with my friend Allison. She recently returned to the States after volunteering as a teacher in B'lore for 1 year. We'll miss you, friend!


P.S. This weekend, I finally got to take that "good, long day of doing absolutely nothing". It was incredible and needed! Thanks for praying for that ;)

I'm writing to apologize for the lack of postings lately! It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks and I've little energy left at the end of the day to write you updates, however I hope to send more updates soon. I desperately need a good, long day of doing absolutely nothing, so if you think of it, please pr. that I could get a little time off in the near future ;) Despite my long days, I've been doing my best to keep a balance of fun in my life as you can tell from the picture above.

Jumpstart.

Just wanted to give you an update on the "speedbump". I have officially been jump-started :) There's a team here this week from the States that is helping me with a project strategy in a big way. They have a lot of wisdom to share and zeal for this project and the people of this city.

I'm exhausted after being out with them sharing with people in the city today, but I promise to post more later. They're here for the rest of the week, so please be thinking of them as they battle jetlag. Pr. that we could walk away from this week's meeting with a clear plan of what area to focus for the rest of my term, specifically the next 6 months.

Many more pr. requests to come. Time for me to rest! He is faithful and so are you - thank you for lifting me up!

Elections

May 10th is an election day. This is a pivotal time in Karnataka’s government as the State has been under Presidential rule since October of last year. There is much anxiety in who will come to control the State in this election. Elections sometimes end up in violet reactions and rioting around the city.

Pr. for...

• safety for those in this city.
• freedom of religion to remain after the election.
  
• my neighborhood "S-Town". There is a certain political party that is very anti-chr.st.nity. They are highly active in my neighborhood.
• US elections. I hope these elections can be a reminder to you to pray for the upcoming elections in the US as well as wisdom and discernment for the American voters.
