Finished

I finished the Breast Cancer Awareness Program this morning. I was able to share not only the physical side of breast cancer, but also discuss the emotional and spiritual aspects. Many stories from the Word were shared and I gave each lady a "Truth" film as a free gift, as well. I'm grateful that I was able to serve these ladies in this way and have the opportunity to share some good news with them. Continue to pray for persons of peace to come from this seminar.

Thanks for all of your prayers this week. You've helped me get through minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. It's been a long week and I'm ready for a break. Looking forward to sleeping in a little bit, or a little longer than I have been sleeping at least.

Off to meet a musl. m family tomorrow in the morning and then another one in the evening. Pray that my stomach will be strong tomorrow. I've been having a lot of stomach problems lately and have little appetite. I know there will be much food and chai offered at each home I visit. Pray that I could be miraculously healed of my stomach problems and be able to eat the piles of yummy rice and Indian curries they will serve!

Day Two

Day Two of the Breast Cancer Awareness Program - another success. I almost didn't think Day Two would happen because the hospital staff was very busy, but it worked out, and although there were less attendees today, there were still a good amount of women. We even had a male surgeon join us towards the end. Tomorrow will be the last session. Tomorrow is perhaps the most important day because I'll be addressing the spiritual and emotional aspects of counseling women with breast cancer and specifically those who will not survive. I will be sharing many stories from the NT and the Good News.

Pray that women's hearts would be open and they wouldn't stop listening when I share about spiritual things. After each session at least one or two women have been coming to me asking me if I would come do this program in their village or at another hospital. Pray this would lead to more people of peace among the M community. Pray for discernment in how much time and energy to invest in future trainings - will it be fruitful and helpful to the end vision?

If you're reading this today, please continue to pray for me as I present tomorrow. Pray that I will speak clearly and fully teach the material. Pray that I would be aware of women searching for Truth. Pray that this would be the beginning of something bigger among M ladies in my focus area.

And a funny thing that happened today...
After I finished my presentation at the hospital, I went to the office to finish some work and prepare for tomorrow. Around lunchtime my phone rang - a man that I know from church was calling. This man calls me a lot and so most of the time I've stopped answering his calls, BUT I decided to answer today. Here's how the conversation went:

Me: "Hello?"
Man: "Hello Camille. How are you? I've been trying to call you."
Me: "Ah, yes. How are you brother?"
Man: "Good. Camille, I have a question for you. Would you consider marrying me and settling in India?"
Me: speechless
Me: "Wait...what? Are you serious?"
Man: "You don't have to answer now. I'll just give you some time to think about it."
Me: "No, that's okay. I can tell you my answer now."
Me: "No."
Man: "Okay, bye!"

Yep, marriage proposal over the phone, folks. TI squared. This Is India.

A Success

Hi Friends,
The first day of the Breast Cancer Awareness Program was success! I remembered the stories and statistics I wanted to share and even got the ladies laughing by the end. 16 nurses and docs attended my session. I know it was only by His grace that I was able to do this session. I was mentally and physically exhausted when I arrived at the hospital this morning, but because you were praying I was able to deliver the "Good News" and warn these ladies about the dangers of Breast Cancer.

Please, please continue to pray for me. I have one session tomorrow morning for one hour and then a final session on Friday for an hour. Pray that I will be dynamic and engaging for these ladies. Pray that they will share this information with five other ladies in their life. Most of all, pray for women of peace to come from this training. That's really what this is all about - pray that I won't forget that.

Also, please pray that I would be in good health and get enough sleep. I desperately need a break and I'm getting a little sick and rundown as a consequence of not taking one. I know that I'm being forced into taking a break because I'm getting sick (a warning sign). Pr. that I could hold out until Friday night and then be able to take a long rest this weekend. He has given me amazing strength these last few days and I believe he can give me enough to get through to the end of Friday.

Quick Update

Hi Friends,
Just wanted to thank you for your prayers for the Breast Cancer Awareness Program to start...it's happening...tomorrow! Last Friday I went back the same hospital I had previously visited and they said, "Yes, please come teach our staff about breast cancer! Can you come next Weds, Thurs, and Fri?"

Above all, please pr. for people of peace to come from this program. Pr. that it would help me connect to other women who may be interested in learning more about Isa Masih. Pr. that He would make it evident who the women of peace will be.

Also, please think of me as I prepare to teach this material for the next three days. To be honest, I feel a little unqualified to be leading this program, but I am going to try to give it my best. Pr. that this would really connect with the ladies and that I would be a dynamic teacher for them that would make them desire to come back each day for sessions 2 and 3. Pr. that I my memory capacity would be huge and that I could remember all the stories and statistics I need to share for each hour-long session.


In other news, I had a meaningful conversation with my language teacher today about Ramzan and what she believes about Him. It was exciting and she was asking a lot of questions. Pr. that next month would really open her eyes to the verses in the Qur'.n that speak about Isa. Pr. that she would go the Injil (NT) and Before Books (OT) to learn more. Pr. for more opportunities to speak Truth with her. I hope you'll consider thinking of M's in September during the month of Ramzan/Ramadan.

Ok, time to prepare for the breast cancer awareness program!

Ramadan/Ramzan

In a little less than two weeks, Ramadan (Ramzan) will begin. This is an important month in the Musl. m community. Ramzan is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet Mohmd. According to the Prophet Mohmd. "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of Jannah (Paradise) are opened and the gates of Jahannam (Hell) are closed, and the shayateen (devils) are chained up."

During this month, many righteous deeds are to be performed by Musl. ms. Some of these include:
-Fasting
-Reading of the Qur'an in its entirety
-Giving to the poor
-Extra prayers, kindness and goodness towards others

I encourage you to research Ramzan for yourself and prayerfully consider joining me in lifting up Musl. m people around the world each day this September.
